The Halloween Family Fun Run 2012

We are delighted to be working with South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust to manage this event.

The Halloween Family Fun Run 2012 includes a 5k open event, a 1k run for kids, and a family team relay!

You can walk, jog or run –  it’s up to you. Whatever you do we’d love to see you at Springfield Hospital on the 4th November. Why not get yourself in fancy dress and we look forward to seeing some amazing outfits! Prizes will be awarded to the best dressed kids and the best dressed adults!

Every entrant will be chip timed and will receive a medal. There will also be some trophies and prizes for the winners.

Please note that when registering you need to enter the 5k and 1k separately. So if registering for your kids for the 1k you need to create a username and password and then enter their name, etc. And once you have done this you need to log out of that profile to then create a new one for yourself if entering the 5k.

You do not need to register for the fun family relay. If you are taking part in the 5k please complete your entry. If also entering your kids you do this for each child separately using your contact details but including your child’s name and date of birth. You can enter as many people in one go as you like.

Start times:

• Children’s 1k at 10am
• Adults (14 years and over) at 10.30 am (runners under the age of 14 years can enter the 5k race provided they are accompanied by an adult)
• Family team relay at 11.30am (please note you enter this event on the day)

Event Information

ARRIVAL and REGISTRATION

The kids 1k Run will start at 10am and the adults will start at 10.30am. The team relay will start at 11.30am

Registration will be open from 8.30am. Registration will close at 9.50am so please arrive nice and early.

Race packs will be collected at registration on the morning of the event. These will include your race number. On the day of the event please pin this to the front of your t-shirt.

When you register on the day of the event you will receive a RACE CHIP. This will correspond with your race number. This is essential to record your time. Please make sure you put this through your shoelace and make sure it is on before the start of the event and hand back to our team once you cross the finish line. YOU MUST hand this back to our team otherwise there is a £10 charge if not returned.

Dedicated bag storage will be located next to the registration tent.

The EVENT

The run will take you around the leafy grounds of Springfield University Hospital. The address is Glenburnie Road, Tooting, SW17 7DJ. There is carparking onsite. The course is mainly on paths. Remember its all good fun and you can walk, jog or run!! See course map above! Please note the course may be altered prior to the event and if so we will inform you of this.

There will be marshals around the course to support and encourage you.

Please take care when running around the course. Please always stay on the left unless otherwise guided.

Results will be displayed on our race timing screen so after crossing the finish line you can check out your time!!

Drinks and fruit will be available at the finish line.

AFTER THE EVENT

Everyone will receive a medal and there are also a few trophies that are up for grabs!

You will be able to check out your instant race results.
