The Adam Cole Foundation 10k Run

We are delighted to be working with the Adam Cole Foundation for the second year and hope you will join us at the lovely Greenwich Park for this 10k Run.

Here’s some more information about the Adam Cole Foundation.

The aim of The Adam Cole Foundation is to help make a positive difference to the lives of disadvantaged children through sport. We want others to benefit directly from Adam’s life, to share in one of his passions. The Adam Cole Foundation is for all those children who have not had the opportunity to experience what sport can offer: the way it can help build confidence, provide a sense of achievement but, most importantly, the fun and enjoyment to be had from just playing it.

ARRIVAL AND REGISTRATION

Our Adam Cole Foundation 10k Run will start at 10am. Registration will be open from 8.00am and will close at 9.55am so please arrive nice and early.

When you register on the day of the event you will also receive a RACE CHIP. This will correspond with your race number. This is essential to record your time. Please make sure you put this on before the start of the event and hand back to our team once you cross the finish line. Please make sure you pin your race number to the front of your t-shirt.

The EVENT

The run will kick off at 10am and will take you around Greenwich Park.

There is carparking on Blackheath Avenue and toilets are situated on The Avenue which is off Blackheath Avenue. The registration point is on Bower Avenue which is to the right of the start/finish in the map. Greenwich mainline station is about 20 minutes walk. The postcode for Greenwich Park is SE10 8QY.

There is bag storage at the registration area.

There will be marshals around the course to support and encourage you.

Please check out the course map! (link is at the top of the page) It looks complicated but it’s really not! Just note the 3V point as you visit this point 3 times! The first time you visit here just after the start you go down the hill, the second time you go straight across and the third time you go back down the hill. Even though we will have marshals here and at all areas around the course to guide you it’s your responsibility to remember each visit and the way you need to go at the 3V section.

Please note placings are based on Gun time. So if you are in it to win it aim to get to the front for the start. Gun time is from when the race starts i.e. 10am. You will also receive your net time which is your actual 10k time from when you cross the starting mats.

Please take care when running around the course as this is public land and local residents will be out and about. Please always stay on the left unless otherwise guided. Greenwich Park is hilly so be prepared for some ups and downs! You’ll love it!!

Results will be displayed on our race timing screen so after crossing the finish line you can check out your time.

Drinks and fruit will be available at the finish line.

AFTER THE EVENT

Everyone will receive a medal and t-shirt and there are also a few trophies that are up for grabs!

Please make sure you hand your RACE CHIP back to our registration team. If not there is a £10 charge!!
